JLT Statement on Coronavirus Response

As you are all aware, our communities are banding together in an aggressive response to the coronavirus and COVID-19.  Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety and protection of our members, I am cancelling all JLT-sponsored events through the end of April 2020.  This includes the April membership meeting and the YWCA Community Meal.  The Backpacks Over Break program is postponed at this time.
An update will be provided regarding events in May and beyond.
In the meantime, I would like to remind everyone that our membership with the Troy Innovation Garage permits us a few day passes a month, so if anyone is working remotely but needs the resources of an office or conference room, please contact me to request a day pass.  There may also be additional resources available through the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce.  Excellent webinars regarding efficient work practices, goal setting, and other personal development materials can be found in the Resource Library on the AJLI (www.ajli.org) website, and I would encourage you to login and take a look at those.
Finally, continue to live as leaders in your everyday life by adopting preventative measures to protect yourself and others from coronavirus, including, but not limited to: social distancing, thorough hand washing, and staying home when you are sick.  Here is the New York State Department of Health’s resources regarding coronavirus (https://www.health.ny.gov/diseases/communicable/coronavirus/) and the CDC’s (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html).  Above all, take care of yourselves and don’t be a stranger!
I appreciate your understanding at this time, and I look forward to the next time we can all gather together!
