Junior League of Troy in collaboration with Carroll Hill Elementary School will gather Saturday, September 19th from 12:30-3:00pm to expand literacy efforts in the community. The Carroll Hill school parking lot and playground will be packed with families and children of all ages. Junior League of Troy will join them for this annual back to school carnival by distributing books to families with children ages birth through sixth grade. Carroll Hill School has over 250 students. Almost 80% of their students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Class sizes are getting bigger and last year a third section of Kindergarten was added to the school. The Junior League of Troy would like to continue its efforts for early and continuous outreach in regards to literacy initiatives. We are in need of volunteers to distribute books to children and interact with families as they enjoy this special day. To help, contact email@example.com.
